This paper is going to evaluate how Amazon has continued to achieve high-level customer satisfaction and competitive advantage. Service Operations Concept Amazon UK has been a key player in the electronic commerce. Its vast market has been as a result of application of high levels of management and customer satisfaction (Chaffey 2012). Generally, electronic business has evolved over time to include all aspects of interworked technologies. The company’s stated strategy is to focus on customer experience by offering low prices, convenience and wide selection of merchandise (Chaffey 2012). First established as a pure online book retailer, Amazon decided to expand its products and services offering. As a result of new expansion strategies, new business models were introduced in 1999. When Amazon went online, the book industry was highly fragmented with the largest retailer Barnes & Nobl e only representing 11% of total book sales (Chaffey 2012). Amazon redefined traditional books retailing through a radical different approach: online through the internet. This move can be termed as a strategic one with Amazon analysing traditional book retailing drawbacks and focusing on new approaches that would revolutionalise the market (Hunt 2000). With the traditional book retail market, it is impossible to provide a customerised store for every customer. One of the key issues Amazon considered before venturing into online book retailing was advantages accrued from this approach. For example, internet retailers have advantages of centralized inventory management and low occupancy costs. On the other hand, a large number of global customers can be reached from a single central location (Chaffey 2012). Competitive Objectives Competitive objective is realised by a company that operates more efficiently or in a high quality way as compared to its competitors, which then results to the benefits that the company will realize (Barney and Clark 2007). It can also be defined as the benefit realized by a company and one which can provide the same value as that of its competitors but at a lower price, or setting a higher price and provide greater value by way of differentiation (Barney and Clark 2007). It is a result of the match of core competencies of the organization to its opportunities. An organization can also be said to have competitive advantage over its competitors if it realizes greater profits as compared to the average profits realized in the industry it is in (Grant 2005). Most businesses have the goal of achieving sustainable competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, Amazon can be argued to have utilized the concept of competitive objectives in order to conquer the market (Chaffey 2012). However, the underlying principle is quality and customer satisfaction. One of the most important concepts in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction is through track of customer purchasing patterns and need to evaluate their consumption behavior (Hunt 2000). Overall the look of the presentation was splendid. The pictures used were nice, however some pictures of bigger children would have had a better impact as OSAS survey was about children under the age of 18, not under the age 4. Yes the objectives are clearly defined and explained. Kristy’s presentation is about enhancing patients’ knowledge on how to take care of their bodies, on how to follow up on a patient and provide emotional support from the nursing point of view. Â   The experience is presented in compact info nuggets. I mean there are slides that show in-text referencing as if a thesis paper, which it is not. It is a presentation and needs pretty slides to give information to the viewer. This fact alone makes the presentation a little difficult to follow. It is quite clear what the author is trying to communicate. She has tried to give a checklist to nurses to make sure that the patients get diagnosed for their illness effectively. In my opinion, the ideas have been communicated very clearly. The design and the physical content of the presentation was just alright. It wasn’t catchy there were hardly any pleasing pictures to capture the interest of the audience. I’d recommend that there should be more

Teaching Philosophy Education is the means by which a student gains the tools for a successful future. Through education, a teacher is not only teaching facts, but also teaching life skills. Education teaches students discipline, responsibility, and many other life skills. As a teacher, I hope to instill these skills in my students. I also hope to help them develop as adolescents. Education should allow students to fully understand and discover themselves, in addition to giving them the ability to survive in the real world. Education involves respecting every student's race, sex, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and religion. Education should teach the students to think on their own, and to accept and embrace their individuality. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to teach. Through various tutoring experiences, I have really solidified that decision in my mind. I would really enjoy teaching in a middle school environment. I feel that the middle grades can really make or break a students’ enjoyment for mathematics. I hope to bring an enthusiasm and love for the subject, and spread that feeling to my students. As an educator, I hope to encourage students to do their best and have then accept nothing less. I believe that education is not just about the classroom, it is about knowing your students and encouraging them to grow as individuals. As a teacher, it is very important to build a relationship and understanding with your students. Education is not just about teaching facts, it is about developing a students knowledge about the subject and about themselves. I think it is important to challenge the students while maintaining their confidence. Through interactions with teachers and fellow students, a student will learn how to interact with others. Schools are a structured environment that will give students the groundwork to lead them into the work environment in their future. As a future math teacher, I understand that many students struggle with the subject of math. I don’t expect my students to love math, but I hope that through my teachings they will understand and appreciate the subject. Mathematical concepts are very prevalent in society and by teaching this, I will be instilling useful skills for the rest of their life.

As a Saudi Muslim, the two social identities I want to talk about are Islam as a religion and Saudis. Religion is an organized set of beliefs, cultural systems and worldviews relating humanity to an order of existence. Religion contains various laws and prohibitions that guide people in every-day life. Muslims who share the same religion see themselves having a communicative relationship with one another. Interpersonal communication and social relationships are two-way processes of exchanging ideas and sharing concerns in a Muslim environment. Saudis are the people of Saudi Arabia. The latter is an Arab country in Western Asia, bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates to†¦show more content†¦Men often wear Qamis when they want to go to the mosque. In terms of symbols, Islam prohibits to wear symbols, however, it does not prohibit having religious symbols at home, such as framed Suras (Verses) from the Quran (Islam’s holy book) hanged against the wall. Most of the practicing Muslims have framed Suras at their home. Nevertheless, Muslims do not hang pictures of their prophet (Muhammad) on their walls because it is seen as prohibited in their religion. In fact, any personification of any prophet is seen as prohibited. Muslims are good at interior architecture, as it seen as beautiful and glorious. Muslims are known for the unique and artistic style in interior design, which is influenced by the Gold Age of Islam when they were in Andalusia. Most of the Muslim interior design is inspired from the Arabic calligraphy and the Quran. In terms of sound, Islam has specific codes of behavior on the manner Muslims should speak and even sound. Though only a few Muslims in Saudi Arabia speak slowly, Islam advocates to speak slowly and softly, as it is a better and a likable way to communicate. Muslim Imams in Friday prayers’ encourage the sender not to scream while transmitting a message so that the receiver understands the message clearly and reply the same way. However, this aspect is not applied everywhere. The Muslim attitude is an abstract value in Islam. Muslims are usually compassionate about their religion and their prophet. Almost every aspect of life
